Code of Ethics for Partner Lawyers

1. Purpose and Scope
1.1 This Code of Ethics establishes ethical standards and professional responsibilities for all lawyers providing services through iuristi.ge (hereinafter "Platform").
1.2 This code supplements but does not replace the Georgian Bar Association's Professional Ethics Code and any applicable laws or regulations.
2. Fundamental Principles
2.1 Integrity: Lawyers must maintain the highest standards of integrity in their practice.
2.2 Competence: Lawyers must ensure competent client representation, utilizing legal knowledge, skills, and preparation reasonably necessary for legal service provision.
2.3 Diligence: Lawyers must act with reasonable diligence and promptness when providing legal services to clients.
2.4 Communication: Lawyers must inform clients about their case status and promptly respond to reasonable information requests.
3. Client-Attorney Relationship
3.1 Scope of Representation: Lawyers must clearly define the scope of representation at the beginning of each client relationship.
3.2 Confidentiality: Lawyers must maintain client confidentiality in accordance with applicable ethical rules and laws.
3.3 Conflicts of Interest: Lawyers must not represent a client if the representation involves a concurrent conflict of interest, unless affected clients give informed consent.
3.4 Fees: Lawyers must charge reasonable fees and provide clients with clear information about fee structure and payment practices.
4. Obligations to Platform
4.1 Honesty: Lawyers must be honest in their dealings with the Platform, including statements about their qualifications and availability.
4.2 Compliance: Lawyers must comply with all Platform policies and procedures.
4.3 Feedback: Lawyers must not manipulate or falsify client feedback or ratings on the Platform.
5. Marketing and Advertising
5.1 Truth: All communications by lawyers about their services on the Platform must be truthful and not misleading.
5.2 Specialization Claims: Lawyers must not claim specialization in any area of law unless certified by the appropriate authority.
6. Confidentiality and Data Protection
6.1 Platform Data: Lawyers must maintain the confidentiality of any non-public information obtained through the Platform.
6.2 Client Data: Lawyers must ensure all client data is protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws and professional obligations.
7. Technology Requirements
7.1 Competence: Lawyers must maintain technological competence necessary for effective Platform use and client information protection.
7.2 Security: Lawyers must take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of client information when using the Platform.
8. Service Quality
8.1 Timeliness: Lawyers must respond to client requests promptly and complete requested services in a timely manner.
8.2 Client Satisfaction: Lawyers must strive to achieve high levels of client satisfaction.
9. Service Termination
9.1 Proper Withdrawal: Lawyers must take steps to protect client interests when terminating representation, including giving reasonable notice and time to employ other counsel.
10. Violation Reporting
10.1 Reporting Obligation: Lawyers must report to the Platform any violations of this Code of Ethics or conduct raising substantial questions about another lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer.
11. Compliance and Enforcement
11.1 Acknowledgment: All lawyers using the Platform must acknowledge and agree to comply with this Code of Ethics.
11.2 Violations: Violations of this code may result in disciplinary measures, including suspension or expulsion from the Platform.
12. Amendments
12.1 This Code of Ethics may be amended from time to time. Lawyers will be notified of any changes and must agree to the updated code to continue using the Platform.
